Washakie County School District #1 Special Education strives to provide a continuum of comprehensive educational services for all students with disabilities. Academic, as well as functional skills are an important part of each student’s education program. Each student is an individual with unique needs which are taken into consideration as the student’s program is developed by a knowledgeable and caring team. The program for a student may include but is not limited to: academics, adaptive PE, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech/language therapy, and counseling.

The Vision of the Educational Resource Center of Washakie County School District #1 is to ensure that children and youth with exceptionalities participate in the general education curriculum to the extent appropriate and are educated to the best of their abilities to further develop into valued and full participating members of society through: academic excellence, relevant and authentic learning opportunities, and nurturing relationships.
